The Adria InterCity departs from Budapest-Keleti at 18:45. After passing the southern shore of Lake Balaton, crossing the Hungarian-Croatian border, and transitting the Dinaric Alps arrives to Split the next day at 9:49. On the way back, the train departs from Split at 17:54 and arrives to Budapest at 9:35 the next day. Boarding and disembarking is possible at several intermediate stations in Hungary and Croatia. Please note that the trains only stop at the stations below, other stations (e.g. Zagreb Gl. Kol.) are not served by Adria IC!

The train services meet the demands and budgets of everyone. For families and groups the 4- or 6-berth couchette compartments offer comfortable and safe sleeping possibilities with affordable prices, couples and smaller families can enjoy the ambient of a hotel room rolling on wheels in the 1-3-bed sleeping car compartments. All passengers are welcomed with mineral water in the evening and hot drinks and breakfast in the morning. A wide range of breakfast menus are available for sleeping car travellers, meals can be enjoyed in the dining car also. All of the compartments are air-conditioned and equipped with power sockets. Stewards ensure the comfort and safety of passengers throughout the journey, selling additional snacks and beverages too.
The restaurant car is open throughout the entire journey, offering a wide assortment of cold and hot dishes.
- Couchettes with 4 and 6-berth compartments are available as an entirely private compartment, or individually with other passengers. The couchette compartments offer mixed-sex accommodation, but there is also a limited number of ladies-only compartments.
- Compartments are equipped with bed linen (sheets, pillows, pillowcases, blankets), beds are made by passengers.
- Passengers are welcomed in the evening with mineral water and snack and in the morning with simple breakfast including hot drinks.
- Sleeping car compartments provide higher comfort and on-board services and are available with 1, 2 or 3 beds for entire booking and also for individual passengers, sorted by gender. Some of our compartments are fitted with inter-connecting doors allowing the comfort of the sleeping cars even for bigger families or groups.
- Compartments are equipped with a washbasin, vanity kits are also provided.
- Amenities include ready-made beds.
- Passengers are welcomed with mineral water, sweets and drinks in the evening, and a complete breakfast including hot drink in the morning.
- Sleeping car passengers have access to the Business Lounge in Budapest-Keleti station before departure and after arrival of the train.
- The air-conditioned dining car is open throughout the journey.
- A wide range of popular dishes and drinks are available together with some seasonal specialties only on this route.
- A wide selection of breakfast menus – cold, hot or sweet – is available.
- HUF and EUR currencies and credit cards are accepted.
Couchettes and sleeping cars are available on Adria IC, seat cars are not provided. Only tickets sold for a specific day are valid. Interrail and Eurail pass holders must book their reservation in advance!

Tickets can be purchased on the Elvira website, as well as at international ticket offices of MÁV-START and GySEV.
It is not possible to purchase train tickets via the MÁV app, but a ticket purchased with a user account on the Elvira system can also be presented while logged in to the app.

For groups of friends and families we also provide private reservations in a couchette car. Private compartment is available for 2-6 passengers - both adults and children. A private cabin can be booked from 256 € at various price levels.
Travellers using FIP discounts must have a valid reservation for the train which can be purchased online.
- To book a private compartment, set the number of passengers and their dates of birth. Booking in one transaction is possible for a maximum of 6 passengers.
- Select the desired date and train.
- On the page 'Service request' select option 'Couchette 2nd class six-berth (D6)' regardless of the number of people traveling together.

If you encounter any errors during the reservation progress, the train might be full for the desired date, please try an alternative running day.
Reservations for the train using discount cards and passes are also mandatory. We recommend that purchase your reservation on the jegy.mav.hu website preferably weeks before.
- Owners of START Klub cards (START Club Bónusz/VIP) can opt for a discounted, fixed-price ticket for the train.
- Reservation is also mandatory with Interrail passes! Please select and validate a travel date only if you have already booked a reservation.
- We also provide the possibility to purchase discounted RST fares (FIP) both through jegy.mav.hu and ticket offices.
