Upon the authorisation of the national tax authority, MÁV Zrt. (MÁV Co.) and MÁV Pályaműködtetési Zrt. (MÁV Infrastructure Co. Ltd.) will establish a VAT Group as of 1st October 2025. Subsequently, both companies will use the same Group VAT number and EU VAT number for value added tax purposes, and their individual VAT numbers will also be changed.
The current domestic and EU VAT numbers of MÁV Zrt. (10856417-2-44 / HU10856417) and MÁV Pályaműködtetési Zrt. (32694422-2-43 / HU32694422) (hereinafter referred to as: the “Companies”) shall remain valid until 30th September 2025, after which the existing EU VAT numbers will be cancelled.

The Group VAT number and, pursuant to Section 30 paragraph (2) of Act CL of 2017 on the Procedure of Taxation, the individual VAT number constitute mandatory elements of an invoice. Accordingly, these numbers must be indicated on invoices issued as from 1 October 2025, as follows:

Should the issued invoices fail to include the data required by law, the respective company shall be entitled to return the invoices.
The address of invoices will remain the same (paper based invoice: 1399 Budapest Pf. 626, electronic invoice: eszamla [KUKAC] mavcsoport.hu).
The Companies will not propose amendments to their existing contracts due to the above-mentioned change, such amendments will only be implemented if required for other reasons.
Should the current contractual partners deem an amendment to the contract reasonable due to the present change, we kindly ask to notify the contact person designated in the contract accordingly.
